Continental Supersports nu pare, la prima vedere, un Bentley
Continental foarte modificat, părând un fel de ediţie specială, cu
un subtil kit aerodinamic.
Însă nu este aşa: vorbim de un Bentley mai puternic, având 30 CP
mai mult decât
Bentley Continental Speed. Cei 630 CP şi 800 Nm ai lui
Supersports au particularitatea că sunt „hrăniţi” cu biocombustibil
E85, motorul W12 de 6,0 litri fiind convertit la „religia”
FlexFuel.
Aşadar, avem un supercar verde, capabil de 3,9 secunde
pentru demarajul până la 100 km/h, iar viteza maximă este
mai mare cu 3 km/h, ajungând la 329 km/h. Consumul mediu de
16,3 litri/100 km nu mai pare aşa de anti-natură, noua
maşină fiind şi mai uşoară cu 110 kg faţă de Bentley
Continental Speed.
Faţă
de modelul originar din 1925, de la care preia apelativul
Superports, acest nou Bentley se bazează pe tracţiune integrală,
având repartizarea maselor faţă/spate 40/60, iar jantele
speciale au 20 inch, fiind încălţate cu pneuri Pirelli
Ultra High Performance de 275/35 ZR 20.
Alte particularităţi ale maşinii de la Geneva 2009 sunt
spoilerele modificate aerodinamic, grilele de pe capotă, discurile
ceramice de frână, direcţia Servotronic sau suspensia întărită.
Interiorul beneficiază de tuşe de exclusivitate, cum ar fi inserţii
